Spinning

My knitting obsession had lead me down the road to spinning. I love to spin. It is so calming and mesmerizing. If you are looking for zen take up spinning. In order to have my own fiber to spin I have started raising angora rabbits. I currently have 8 rabbits. They are wonderfully sweet animals. They are however lots of work. So unless you are committed to spend lots of time with them I don't recommend raising them yourself. I am not good at spinning yet and have not tried angora wool. They say it is harder. This is one craft area in my life I feel is lacking my time. I seem to push it aside because there are more pertinent projects I am working on.

Here are pictures of my angora rabbits. They are all english angora.

Doc as a kit,(he is fully matured now). He is a considered a Blue Buck. He is broken which mean he has different colors than blue.

Penny as a kit, she is fully matured now. She is considered a Tort. She is absolutely beautiful.

Jack. He is a REW. Red eyed white buck.

Kit rabbits. Momma Penny had 8 kits in her first liter. 5 survived, They turned a year old this past July.
